To ensure the best quality in cinema experience for our customers, Kinepolis Group is able to lean on a vast group of supporting services. One of these services is our IT department, focusing on the selection, implementation, and maintenance of numerous applications. For this department, we are looking for a new colleague who will take up the role of Functional Analyst.
In short: in this function, you act as the liaison between our numerous businesses and our technical IT team in our shared quest for smooth (IT) processes and solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the organization’s systems, processes, business areas, and current technological advancements. The analyst primarily works on major project analysis processes and may handle small-scale standard projects independently.
You will be, mostly, working in our head-office in Ghent.
But what would you be doing exactly?
- You go into a constructive, though also critical, dialogue with your business to discuss their needs in optimizing certain workflows, linked to IT solutions, but not limited to this environment.
- You translate these so-called business requirements to functional specifications, that you discuss with our technical team to propose a roadmap.
- You create functional models which you are able to explain to all stakeholders.
- You’ll do the necessary follow up, managing the different projects as they develop and, undoubtedly, cross new complexities and struggles.
- You make sure that all knowledge is shared, documented, and that each member is well informed and well included in the process.
- You handle the testing and continuously take on the role as the devil’s advocate at spotting weaknesses and opportunities as all the projects evolve.
Who are you?
- It would help if you have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in a (IT) technical field, but experience (and most notably: a peak interest) in the matter is what matters most.
- It’s a position that will ask of you to align numerous individuals and departments, so an ease at presenting information and getting the gist of an explanation is a strong asset.
- You will be included into a broad range of (IT) topics, so a previous involvement in IT projects is a strong plus and a solid knowledge of one (or more) Business Process Modeling Tools and also Cloud Technology & Infrastructure would surely help.
- You feel at ease at managing ‘constructive critique’ and are well-versed in a diplomatic tongue where you’re able to find solutions and common grounds.
- You get energized when starting a new project, analyzing a new problem and discovering a broad range of new fields and environments within Kinepolis.
- … but you are also well apt at maintaining this energy once the projects are launched and more administration/follow-up occurs.
- You don’t mind conversing about practical matters, but also care to tag along in more strategic conversations – thinking about the future of both IT and Kinepolis Group.
- You have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of your work, without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Kinepolis Group is active in numerous European countries and also in Canada (Landmark Cinemas) and the US (MJR Cinemas), so you are well apt at making your point in English and you feel at ease at conversing in French and Dutch.
What do we have to offer?
Kinepolis Group has a heart for cinema. The sharing of stories and emotions. This we like to discover with each new colleague as well, because we aim to take them along on our further adventure!
Besides a competitive gross salary, we also offer numerous extralegal advantages, such as a company car, several insurances, meal vouchers, your own computer and many other advantages.
It has been a tough couple of years for Kinepolis Group, but we emerged stronger and more resilient than ever. And we have our colleagues to thank for that, who we continue to support in their professional development and personal growth. To help them construct their own career around a collection of pleasant stories & successes. We’re looking forward adding you to our story.
