Senior IT Systems Engineer

As our Senior IT Systems Engineer, you’ll be a key player in shaping the IT backbone of a fast growing scale-up trusted by millions customers worldwide. With over 250 employees spread across five hubs, Loop is in a phase of rapid growth. You’ll report directly to the Senior Manager of IT and play a crucial role in ensuring that our IT infrastructure scales smoothly. You’ll manage Loop’s cloud-based infrastructure, particularly within the Microsoft Azure environment, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure systems. Your role involves optimizing system performance and implementing seamless IT operations that support our company’s high-growth trajectory. You’ll help on more advanced IT tickets, providing expert guidance to the IT Specialists. In collaboration with them, you’ll work on finding holistic solutions for recurring issues flagged by the team, continuously improving system efficiency. Beyond technical maintenance, you’ll act as an internal IT educator, delivering tailored training sessions to maximize the team’s use of cutting-edge tools and foster a tech-savvy culture across the business.

Your other responsibilities:

• Work with IT Specialists in your team to identify and address recurring tickets, developing long-term solutions.
• Oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, maintaining performance, reliability, and security.
• Implement cloud-based solutions tailored to business needs, with a focus on scalability and security.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related queries, providing technical support across teams.
• Educate employees on new tools and systems, enhancing their ability to use IT resources effectively.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure IT systems improve workflow and efficiency.

Your success in this role will come from a mix of technical expertise and people skills. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager IT, you’ll collaborate across the organization, translating complex technical solutions into clear, actionable steps. A proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure our infrastructure scales seamlessly with business growth, while your focus on security keeps our data protected. These key competencies will set you up for success:

• 8+ years experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Certifications such as CISSP will give you an edge.
• Deep understanding of both Windows and MacOS, including MDM, scripting, and system optimization.
• Expertise in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to improve efficiency.
• Strong network management experience, including DNS, VPN, and firewalls.
