Chief Information Security Officer

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) steers the Degroof Petercam's information security strategy. Responsible for protecting sensitive data, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimising cyber risks, the CISO plays a key leadership role. This position requires a proactive approach and in-depth expertise in financial services and cyber security.

Working with the Indosuez Group CISO, you will define and implement Bank Degroof Petercam's information security strategy, ensuring the protection of the Group's data and systems.

• Develop and implement the information security strategy in line with that of the Group, and define action plans to ensure regulatory compliance and manage data security risks.
• Actively participate in strategic projects to integrate security risks into the decision-making phase.
• Defining information security policies and guidelines, and ensuring their uniform implementation across all Group entities.
• Monitoring and minimising deviations from current policies, procedures and regulations.
• Integrate the requirements of the supervisory authorities into the security policy to ensure compliance.
• Regularly updating the security policy and overseeing its validation by internal and external committees.
• Contributing in the Group Information Security Committee (GISC).
• Working with the audit department, centralising reports and ensuring that recommendations are implemented.
• Managing and reporting security alerts and deviations, and implementing appropriate escalation processes to proactively manage risks.
• Making employees aware of and responsible for information security risks and promoting best practice.
• Supervising first-level controls on IT control frameworks, and regularly assessing the level of IT risk in relation to the defined risk appetite.

• Master's degree in information security, IT or related field.
• At least 10-15 years' experience in information security, including at least 5 years in a management position.
• Experience in the financial sector is highly desirable.

Technical skills

• Expertise in cyber security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT) and risk management practices.
• Good knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the financial sector.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies, cloud security and data protection.
• Leadership and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to popularise complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to manage crisis situations effectively.
