Cloud Data Engineer

In order to enable all this valuable work, there is a Data Platform & Architecture team within the tribe as well consisting out of data architects and cloud data engineers with a mission to build and maintain state of the art data services towards the company. Now for the best part, we want you to become part of it as senior cloud data engineer!

• Design, refine and implement products/services in AWS & Snowflake from secure storage to processing power, purpose-based access management and general accelerators that can bring efficiency and effectiveness towards the tribe.
• Work on projects related to Big Data, Data Warehousing, ML Ops, AI engineering etc.
• Abstract underlying infrastructure to enable your customer to focus on the data processing and allowing the platform team to rapidly follow new technologies without having to trigger a migration project.
• Take a leading role in technology innovations and support the landing of them, together with the data architects, in the various value teams.
• Coaching & mentoring other cloud data engineers by sharing best practices, guarding the technical solution & contributing to strategic decisions.

• A Master or bachelor’s in computer science or related education and minimum 5 years relevant experience.
• Advanced experience in a production-level data environments.
• Excellent knowledge on AWS, Terraform and Python.
• Excellent knowledge of EMR, EKS, Spark, Gitlab and Snowflake.
• Experience with modern schedulers: Dagster, Airflow, … 
• Experience with scalable API development in a challenging production environment.
• Experience in a DevOps world is a plus
• The will to take end-to-end ownership is a must & the ability to get things done
• Good communication skills. You feel comfortable challenging others.
• Profound English skills. Dutch skills are a plus.
