SEA (Search Engine Advertising) specialists are outbound marketeers with an analytical mind. An outbound marketeer is someone who actively sets up paid marketing campaigns to sell a (digital) product to people.
These campaigns can be through different channels (e.g. Google, Instagram, Reddit, Tiktok, …) and require positive unit economics and an acceptable return-on-investment. They test different combinations of keywords, call to action descriptions, images, videos, … and test the conversion rate.
Depending on the product being sold, different channels will show different conversion rates. As an example: sales of an item aimed at women might see better conversions through Instagram ads than through an Adwords ad. Digital courses might sell better through Twitter.
