Our client builds the software that runs the label and packaging industry from the inside. For over 30 years, its Management Information System has been the operational backbone for manufacturers worldwide, and customers stay with them for decades.
A profitable, privately owned and international business trading across 15+ countries, with customers from France and the US through to Germany, the UK and Benelux.
Right now, the company is moving its core product from an established on-premise suite to a brand-new cloud-native SaaS platform, built from the ground up by a small, close-knit cloud team split across Belgium and Sweden.
AI is central to how that platform gets built and what it does: an AI assistant trained on the company's own documentation is already live for customers, AI-driven order processing is in active development, and the engineering team works daily with agentic AI tools, including Claude Code, as a core part of how they write and ship code.
We're hiring into this team on two tracks: Software Architect and Team Leader.

What we're looking for on both tracks
- 4-7 years of full-stack development experience
- A master's degree in computer science, applied sciences, or equivalent through experience
- Agile and scrum experience
- A real, current interest in AI's role in software development, not just awareness of it
- Strong communication skills and a hands-on attitude
- Fluent English
- Hybrid working from the Ghent office
Architect track: own how the platform is built
This is the technical leadership seat on a cloud platform being built from scratch right now, so the architectural decisions made in the next year won't just be maintained by whoever takes this role, they'll be made by them.
- Apply and evolve the company's chosen engineering principles: modular monolith, domain-driven design, vertical slice architecture, multitenancy, API-first
- Work daily in the codebase alongside the team, not from an ivory tower
- Drive the AI-native engineering agenda: use agentic AI tools as a genuine part of the daily workflow and help the wider team adopt the same practice
- Help shape the product's own AI capability, building on what's already live
- Genuine, hands-on architecture experience: someone who has helped design a system, not just built features inside one
Team Lead track: own how the team runs
This role leads one of the small agile teams building that platform day to day, while the architect owns the technical structure.
- Run sprint planning, dispatch tasks, and handle the delivery admin that keeps a small team moving
- Stay hands-on writing code in .NET Core, React and Docker on Azure
- Manage people: motivate and support your team, give constructive feedback, and conduct performance evaluations
- "(Initial) team lead experience" welcome, this suits someone taking their first real step into leading people, not a veteran engineering manager
- Apply AI more directly: use AI-driven QA and DevOps tooling to help the team ship reliably
