Senior Software Engineer

As our Software Developer, you get to work on the core of our software. You’ll become part of one of our small sub teams (7 people) within our Discovery Engineering team and together, you write new code to enhance our product.

Discover, Implement, Optimize

• You discover new algorithms for detecting network devices and other assets.
• You implement the code that discovers hardware and software.
• You continuously optimize and strive for the efficient functioning of our software.
• As a member of an agile Engineering team, you analyze the extent and impact of changes to the Lansweeper software.

• has a sound experience in one or more of these areas:

.NET ecosystem

• Experience in writing reliable and performant code using SOLID principles.
• Experience in designing code using OO Principles and Design Patterns.

Database programming (SQL)

• Experience in query syntax and in querying database instance parameters.
• Is familiar with deploying solutions in the cloud, and take this into account when I’m writing my code. I have an understanding of the following concepts :
• CI/CD
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Microservices
• Observability (OpenTelemetry)
• Infrastructure as Code
• has a passion for software and hardware discovery, including but not limited to monitoring tools that discover activity on systems.
• has a notion of CI/CD tools.
• has experience working in an agile working environment.

• Experienced in sysadmin tasks and able to translate them in C# code
• Well versed in querying Active Directory, SSH, PowerShell
• Adept in writing (bash) scripts to get system information on non Windows environments (macOS & multiple Linux distributions)
• Knowledge of some languages and technologies used on other parts of Lansweeper: Go, React, Java, NodeJS, AWS, different NoSQL databases, Kafka, gRPC, ...
• OT Knowledge
